Back online….

Whew.

I lost my internet connection for ten days. There was a problem with my telephone line, causing the line to be disconnected for three days, which caused an “automatic” disconnect from my internet service.

Once my telephone line was reconnected, it took numerous calls to the internet people to 1) Figure out what happened, 2) Figure out how to get the internet back on and 3) Become very frustrated as the end result seemed to be “Well, you just have to wait until we process your Disconnect Order,” (I thought I was already disconnected…) and process your new Reconnect Order. It should only take 7 business days.”

And they took the full 7 business days…with some weekend days thrown in.

Oh well, it’s back on now, so how can I complain?

I’m a little bummed out because I was on a roll writing the pages for the “My Inner Cyclist,” and feel somewhat sidetracked at the moment. So, I apologize for leaving anyone who was reading that hanging….I’ll be back on it shortly!

As an update to my proposed “June 2008, Northern Arizona Trip,” unfortunately it has been scrapped. I’ve ended up with too much going on this month: numerous court dates (related to my work), my dad is coming to visit (this week), and another schedule change. Throw in the multiple dentist visits (still not fixed, either), and it has been a busy month already.

I’m really feeling that I need a break, but I’ll just have to grit my teeth a bit more until it can happen. Northern Arizona will have to wait until the autumn (perhaps my favorite time of year anyway). I may try to plan a 2-3 day camping/biking/fishing trip closer to home for July, though it does get pretty darn hot around here….
